Qualifications
Educational, Certification, and Licensure Requirements:
- Radiologic Technologist: ARRT certification required within 18 months (reimbursement provided).
- Cardiac Interventional Technologist: ACLS and BLS certifications.
- Electrophysiology (EP) Technologist: ARRT, KY operator's license, ACLS, and BLS. RCIS or RCES certification is required.
Reporting Structure:
- New Hire > Lead Tech > Manager
Salary and Shift Differential Pay:
- Cath/EP Lab: $33.61-$52.10 per hour
- Shift Differential: $4.40/8.00 per hour call pay
- Cardiovascular: $31.41-$48.69 per hour
- Shift Differential: $4.40 per hour
Work Hours and On-Call Requirements:
- Regular Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM
- Cath Lab On-Call: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM weekdays; 7:00 AM Saturday - 7:00 AM Monday
- EP On-Call: No formal on-call; required to stay late to finish cases
Relocation and Retention Package:
- Up to $10,000 for relocation expenses
- $20,000 retention package for a two-year commitment:
- $5,000 in the first check
- $5,000 at the end of the first year
- $10,000 at the end of the second year
- Additional $5,000 bonus to the vendor after one year
Sign-On Bonus:
- None
Open Positions:
- 8.4 FTE in Cath Lab and EP currently
- 6.5 FTE in current state
Urgency:
- Positions need to be filled ASAP
Unit Size and Structure:
- 21 bays in pre/post-op
- 6 Cath lab procedure rooms
- 3 EP procedure rooms
- Entire 3rd floor of the heart hospital
Clinician/Patient Ratio:
- Standard: 3:1
- STEMI: 4:1
Patient Load and Diagnoses:
- Average of 30 cases per day
- Types of Diagnoses and Procedures: STEMI, NSTEMI, Ablations, Pacemakers, TAVR, TMVR, Structural Heart Procedures, Watchman, Mitra Clips, PCI, Impella, Right and Left Heart Catheterizations
