Position: Tax Administrator

Location: Rochester, NY
Salary: $48,000 - $55,000

Our client is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Tax Administrator to join their team in Rochester, NY. The Tax Administrator will be responsible for supporting the tax department by managing and organizing tax records, preparing and filing tax documents, and assisting with tax compliance. This role requires a strong understanding of tax processes and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or certificate in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred) and at least 2 years of experience in a similar role. This is a full-time, onsite position, requiring the candidate to be present in Rochester, NY.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or certificate in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a tax-related role.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work onsite full-time in Rochester, NY.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and file tax documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain and organize tax records, including digital and physical files.
  • Assist in the preparation of tax returns and reports for various tax filings.
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure timely submission of tax filings.
  • Support the tax team in audits and tax-related inquiries.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for tax purposes.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations.
  • Provide general administrative support to the tax department as needed.
