Position Overview: Our client is seeking a Board-Certified Comprehensive Ophthalmologist to join their team. While they welcome a range of specialties, they do not require a retina specialist and do not perform refractive surgery. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care, thrive in a dynamic and growing practice, and manage a busy patient load. Both full-time and part-time options with flexible scheduling are available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload starting at 15 patients per day, with potential to increase to 30-35 patients daily.
- Provide comprehensive ophthalmic care, with optional surgical procedures if desired.
- Collaborate with a full support team, including scribes, receptionists, and technicians.
- Participate in community outreach and educational programs as needed.
- Maintain high standards for patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes.
Requirements:
- Board Certification: Required, with flexibility on specialties (excluding retina).
- Experience: Open to new graduates and experienced professionals.
- Hospital Privileges: Required if performing surgeries; support provided for obtaining privileges.
- Call Schedule: Optional. If performing surgeries, on-call rotation is 7 days per month. No on-call required for non-surgical roles.
- EMR System: Experience with Modernize Medicine (EMA) preferred but not required.
Benefits:
- Base Salary: $220,000 to $250,000 annually, plus performance bonuses.
- Health Insurance: 70% paid by the employer, 30% by the employee (100% employee contribution for family coverage).
- Retirement: 401(k) with 3% employer match after 1 year of employment.
- Time Off: 1 week of sick leave, 2 weeks of PTO, and 1 week of CME.
- Malpractice Insurance: Provided through OMIC, with the candidate responsible for tail insurance before joining.
