Position Summary:
As the Nursing Director for the PCU/ICU department, you will be the first-line manager for this specific nursing area, overseeing its patient population and assigned staff. You will have 24-hour responsibility for unit activities, planning, coordinating, and directing fiscal, personnel, and patient care activities. This role ensures that standards of care and practice are met, tailored to the patient care needs and age in a cost-effective manner. You will also be responsible for integrating the nursing area(s) into the overall functioning of the organization.

- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred)
- Previous supervisory experience in nursing (required)
- Critical thinking skills
- Decisive judgment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Current clinical competence relevant to patient population
Certifications/License:
- Current unencumbered multistate or North Carolina Nursing License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
- Current unencumbered multistate or North Carolina Nursing License (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred)
- Previous supervisory experience in nursing (required)
- At least 3 years of healthcare leadership experience
