• Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in Kentucky
• Basic Life Support (BLS) accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required for some units
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

Job Description

• Unit Size: 17 beds, single floor
• Clinician/Patient Ratio: 1:1, 1:2, or 2:1
• Licensure Requirements: BLS, ACLS, ADN, or BSN
• Average Daily Patient Load: 1-2 per nurse, total of 15-17 patients
• Patient Types:
  • CABG/Open Heart Recovery
  • Dissections
  • Cardiogenic Shock
  • Transplants
  • Valve Replacements
  • Post-op Ventricular Assist Device
  • Emergent Tamponade
  • Device Management (Code AORTA, ECMO, Impella, Balloon Pump, Vasopressor Management/Titration, Rapid Transfusion)

Orientation

• 4-6 months for OHHR/Cardiovascular ICU, depending on experience
• Up to 1 year for Transplant or high-risk procedures

Retention Package

• $20,000 for a two-year commitment
  • $5,000 in the first check
  • $5,000 at the end of one year
  • $10,000 at the end of year two

Salary and Pay

• Hourly rate: $29-$43.50
• Includes shift differential pay

Work Hours

• 7 PM - 7 AM or 7 AM - 7 PM
• On-call hours required

Relocation Fee

• Up to $10,000 for relocation expenses

Vendor Bonus

• $5,000 bonus to the vendor at the end of one year
